UNESCO City of Media Arts, the first and so far only one in Germany. Karlsruhe has lost a number of clubs in recent years, though. What remains is spread across the city: Gotec in the industrial area in Mühlburg, C2 Ost by the Alter Schlachthof in the Oststadt, Erdbeermund by Rüppurrer Tor.
